Special  SC Rules



1.      All teams can use a designated hitter and extra hitter in all ages 13U and above in North & South Carolina except during a Super NIT or a World Series! This means they can use either DH or EH or both!


2.      All games will have time limits set by the director.


3.      9U teams will play modified stealing rules


4.      Tournament director will furnish baseballs. Both teams are to have a designated person to retrieve foul balls on their side of the field.

International Tie-Breaker

If the game is still tied after regulation time (or innings), then the International Tie-Breaker shall be put into effect once completing the last inning of the tie.  The new inning shall begin with the last player to have an official at-bat in the previous inning shall go to 2nd base to start the new inning with no outs, balls, and strikes. The game shall be played until conclusion of a winner.



Note: This rule applies to ALL GAMES, except the championship game.

This rule is MANDATORY in SC events.


                                                SC Fall Season

Players on teams that quit playing until spring will be able to play on another team.  They will be allowed to go back to their original team in the spring.  This is being done so players that want to play baseball in the fall while the rest of their original team is doing soccer, football will not be penalized.  All players must be on your online roster!


                                  SC BASEBALL TIE-BREAKER RULES

The following rules will determine which teams will advance out of their pools.

1.      WIN-LOSS RECORD

2.      HEAD TO HEAD

3.      FEWEST RUNS ALLOWED

4.      HIGHEST RUN DIFFERENTIAL– Determined by taking total runs scored minus total runs allowed. The maximum run differential per game is +8 or –8.

5.      USSSA Points

6.      Coin Flip

    A.R.1 - The score of the game at the time of a forfeit, if the losing team forfeits, shall be the score of record for purposes of this rule.

    A.R.2 - If the winning team forfeits,  the score of record shall be 1 run per inning for that game in favor of losing team. If in a 6 inning game score will be 6-0. If in a 7 inning game score will be 7-0.

   A.R.3 - When three or more teams are tied fewest runs allowed in all pool play games will be used in determining all 3 places. If there is still a 3 way tie highest run differential shall be used to determine who shall advance.

A.R.4 – If when a 3 way tie is broken 2 teams are still tied with runs allowed go to highest run differential in all games, if still tied use USSSA Points, if this is a tie go to a coin flip.
